Around 7 this morning, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a Middle Road, Southampton residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainants who stated that sometime between 11:15pm on Monday and 6:30am today, an unknown culprit gained entry into their home.
At 8:40pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported handbag snatch from a St. George's guest property. On arrival officers spoke with the complainants who are visitors to the island. They stated that earlier they were walking towards their accommodation when two young men approached from behind.
At 10 this morning, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision on Middle Road in Smith's parish near the junction with Clarendon Road. It appears that a blue Subaru car was traveling east on Middle Road when the driver lost control and collided with a utility pole.
At 6pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Devonshire near the junction with Tribe Lane involving a car and a motorcycle. It appears that the car was traveling east on North Shore Road and the motorcycle was traveling behind the car.
The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 63 year old Oliver Thompson of St. George's. Mr. Thompson fell approximately 12 feet from a ladder to the ground at a Wellington Street, St. George's property sustaining head injuries around 7:25am on Wednesday. He was rushed to KEMH via ambulance and pronounced dead a short time later by an on call physician at the hospital.
At 7:25 this morning, Police received a report of an industrial accident at a Wellington Street, St. George's property. It appears that the victim, a 63 year old St. George's man, fell approximately 12 feet from a ladder to the ground, sustaining head injuries.
At 4:45 this morning, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision on South Road in Devonshire near the junction with Devon Spring Road. Details about the collision remain unclear; however, a blue Toyota Yaris was extensively damaged and the driver of the car left the scene prior to the arrival of Police.
At 3:05pm on Monday, Police received a report of a breaking and entering at a Bluff Lane, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between Friday, March 3, 2006 and Thursday, March 9, 2006 an unknown culprit gained entry into her home while she was overseas.
Effective tomorrow, Wednesday March 15, 2006 at 9:30am, Montpelier Road, Devonshire will be open to traffic traveling in a northerly direction only, while trench work continues along Middle Road. There will be barriers equipped with traffic signs in place at the foot of Montpelier Road to direct traffic.
At 2:45pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a Downing Lane, Warwick residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainants who stated that sometime between 11:20am and 2:10pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into their home. The culprit stole a silver DVD player. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Theft
