Traffic Advisory: Queen’s Birthday Parade - The motoring public is advised that the following traffic restrictions will be in place to facilitate the Queen’s Birthday Parade along Front Street in the City of Hamilton on Saturday, June 15th 2013.
Road Closures
The following roads will be closed to vehicular traffic between 9am and 12 noon:
Three Vehicle Collision on the Causeway - Around 11am on Monday, June 10th police and first responders attended a reported three vehicle collision on the Causeway in St. George’s.
It appears that a car, a truck and a motorcycle collided. The car driver, a 60 year old Pembroke man, was apparently not injured but was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for medical assessment.
Chief Inspector Tracy Adams, Eastern Area Commander - The Bermuda Police Service is pleased to announce that the repairs to the St. George’s Police Station have been completed and that officers resumed their normal activities in the station as of Wednesday June 5th 2013. Station Duty Officers (SDOs) and officers from the Community Action Team will operate the station from 8:00am to 8:00pm Monday through Thursday and 8:00am to midnight on weekends. Additional opening hours will be established during holiday weekends and other busy periods.
Sandys Parish Community Meeting Well Attended - On Thursday the 30th of May at the St. James Anglican Church,

" border="0" />Somerset Road, Sandys officers from the Western Community Action Team hosted a community meeting to inform the public on the role of the Community Action Teams, the principles of Neighbourhood Watch and Community Action Groups.
About 80 area residents attended and heard presentations on the forming of Neighbourhood Watch Groups by the Community Action Team officers followed by a short input on crime prevention and home security by a crime prevention expert.
Missing Juvenile Zackary Fox Located - The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 15 year old Zackary Fox. The teenager was eventually found safe and well.
Damage Only Collision on Southside Road
Around 4:45pm on Tuesday, June 4th police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle collision on Southside Road in St. George’s near the junction with Westcott Road.
Around 11:30am on Tuesday, June 4th police officers responded to a report of a burglary at a Tribe Road #5 Warwick residence. It appears that a neighbour disturbed two males attempting to enter the premises.
The suspects then fled the scene. Initial inquiries suggest that nothing was taken from the home. Officers conducted a search of the surrounding area including Astwood Park and subsequently arrested a 19 year old Paget man as well as a 19 year old Pembroke man in connection with the incident.
Reported Robbery in Devonshire - Around 5:15am Tuesday, June 4th police on mobile patrol along Montpelier Road in Devonshire encountered two men running through the area that disappeared into the Arboretum.
It was then ascertained that a robbery had taken place nearby where two males took a handbag from a woman and made good their escape on foot. The female victim was not injured.
The Arboretum was immediately surrounded and a search for the suspects commenced.
Arrests Made at Warwick Property - Around 10pm Wednesday, May 29th police officers responded to a noise complaint at a South Road, Warwick property.
On arrival officers smelled what was believed to be illegal narcotics. A quantity of suspected controlled drugs and cash were subsequently detected and seized.
The Bermuda Police Service is continuing its investigations into a shooting which occurred at Belvin’s Variety store on Happy Valley Road, Pembroke resulting in the death of Haile Outerbridge and Ricco Furbert on January 23rd 2013.
A 24 year old male from Sandys Parish was arrested on Wednesday 29th May by the Serious Crime Unit and is being questioned regarding this matter. No determination as to charge or any further details will be released at this time.
Marine Police Unit Move - The Bermuda Police Service advises that the Marine Police Unit is no longer located at the Barr’s Bay office.
The Marine Unit is now temporarily located at the Police COMOPS Building in Prospect, Devonshire before they make their permanent move to new offices in Dockyard expected to be 1st August, 2013.
Marine Police launches will continue to operate from Barr’s Bay. There will be no disruption to calls for services or general police patrols of the waterways in and around Bermuda as a result of the office move.
