Police Appeal for Whereabouts of Stolen Barritt's Truck [Located]

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a red John Barritt’s truck bearing registration plate HC 169. This vehicle was apparently removed from outside Arnold’s Express on Front Street in the City of Hamilton earlier this afternoon and was last seen heading east, out of the city. Thirteenth Road Fatality for 2014: Peter Woolcock

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 88 year old Peter Woolcock and extends condolences to his family and friends.

Pedestrian Mr. Woolcock was struck by a car on Par-La-Ville Road around 10am Thursday, December 4th in the vicinity of the Royal Gazette offices.

Following the collision he was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance and initially admitted into the hospital in stable condition. However, he was subsequently pronounced dead at 2:47pm Thursday.

Bermudian Detained by Canadian Authorities Expected in Court

The Bermuda Police Service continues to liaise with Canadian authorities after several passengers on a scheduled WestJet flight to Bermuda Sunday were detained by Canadian law enforcement officers in Toronto.

It is anticipated that a Bermudian will be charged in connection with the November 30th matter, while another Bermudian arrested in a similar incident a week prior has already appeared before the Canadian courts.

Following the collision the Pembroke man was initially admitted into the hospital in stable condition. However, he was subsequently pronounced dead at 2:47pm.

Reported Serious Collision Involving a Pedestrian [Updated]

Around 10am today, Thursday December 4th first responders were dispatched to a reported serious collision in the Par-La-Ville Road, Serpentine Road Pembroke area.

Details are unclear at the moment; however initial information suggests that a car collided with a male pedestrian. The victim, believed to be a senior citizen, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The extent of his injuries is unknown at this time.

Confirmed Firearm Incident in Warwick: No Reported Injuries

The Bermuda Police Service responded to a report of a confirmed firearm incident that took place at around 5:30 pm in the area of Cedar Hill in Warwick and Tribe Road No. 6.

It appears that two males were traveling on a motorcycle when they discharged a firearm at a residence in the area. No one was injured and the two men then left on the motorcycle.

Traffic Delays Expected: America’s Cup Celebrations

The motoring public is advised that traffic delays are likely due to the America’s Cup celebrations today.

The official America’s Cup motorcade is anticipated to leave from the L.F. Wade International Airport shortly after 2pm and travel via police escort to the Cabinet grounds arriving around 3pm.

Reported Missing Teenager: Sasha Pearman [Located]

The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 16 year old Sasha Pearman, who has apparently been missing since Saturday, November 29th.

She is described as light complexioned, approximately 5 feet tall with dyed blonde hair, weighing between 120 and 130 pounds.

Sasha lives in Sandys parish but is known to frequent the City of Hamilton.

Minor Injuries to Warwick Academy Student After Reported Explosion

At 10:30am today, Wednesday November 26th police and other first responders received a report of an explosion at the Science Department of Warwick Academy school. As a result a student was taken to the hospital where she is being treated for minor injuries.

The school’s protocols were enacted and inquiries into this incident are underway. The Government Health and Safety officers are on their way to the school.
