P.C. Shandora Burrows is the Bermuda Police Service (BPS), Community Policing Division (CPD), Staff Person, 2020!

A replica firearm was seized and two males, aged forty-nine and forty-five years old arrested, after police received reports of two males wearing dark clothing and masks on a motorcycle near Cavendish Car Park on Cavendish Road, Pembroke.
The passenger was carrying what appeared to be a firearm. Armed officers responded to the incident which occurred around 3:00 p.m. today, Sunday 24th January, 2021.
Motorcyclist Arrested for Various Offences After Two Separate Collisions

Around 3:15 p.m. yesterday, Tuesday 19th January, 2021, an eighteen-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst impaired as well for possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply, after being involved in two separate road traffic collisions.
The first incident took place on Mullet Bay Road just west of Wellington Lane in St. George.
A driver travelling west on Mullet Bay Road stopped to allow an oversized vehicle headed in the opposite direction to get by.
Child Pornography Offences Reminder: Law, Punishments & How to Report

Members of the public are reminded that any sexual images of individuals who are under the age of consent, are classified as child abusive images or what is commonly known as, child pornography.
Anyone in possession of such videos or images or who forwards them on in any format, is committing offenses under the criminal code.
Reported Single Vehicle Car Crash in Southampton: Driver Sought

Around 12:10am today, Monday January 18th, police officers responded to a reported single vehicle car crash on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Luke’s Pond Road.
On arrival, the car said to be involved in the incident was found unoccupied and extensively damaged.
Initial inquiries suggest that the vehicle was being driven east and struck a wall along Middle Road, Southampton – temporarily preventing traffic flow in either direction.
Residents Reminded to be Wary of Phishing Scams

The Bermuda Police Service wishes to once again advise the public not to provide personal details in response to requests sent via e-mail from unknown entities.
These requests are usually linked to advisories informing the recipient that they have come into significant sums of money and all that is required for them to collect those funds is to provide personal information. As is the case with the two most recent scam e-mails being circulated locally.
Superintendent Sean Field-Lament said: “The purpose of these scams is usually identity theft. The advice is to not respond to these e-mails and immediately delete them.

Second Road Fatality for 2021: 35-Year-Old O’Dean Phillips

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 35-year-old O’Dean Phillips.
Mr. Phillips passed away following a serious single road traffic collision involving a motorcycle, just east of the Terceira’s Service Station on the North Shore Road, Devonshire, shortly after 1:00 a.m. on Monday 11th January, 2021.
The Bermuda Police Service extends sincere condolences to the family of Mr. Phillips.
Second Road Fatality for 2021

Shortly after 1:00 a.m. today, Monday 11th January, 2021, police responded to a report of a serious single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle, just west of Terceira’s Service Station on the North Shore Road, Devonshire.
Upon arrival, officers found an unresponsive male with a severe leg injury lying on the roadway. The officers immediately commenced C.P.R. on the victim, a thirty-five-year-old Smith’s Parish resident, until the arrival of EMTs a short time after.
He was subsequently transported via ambulance, to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where sadly, he succumbed to his injuries.
Investigation Underway Into Reported Indecent Exposure Incident

The Bermuda Police Service is investigating a report of indecent exposure which reportedly took place today, Thursday 7th January, 2021, in the area of Cavendish Road, Pembroke.
A female informed police that as she ran along Cavendish Road near Lane Hill, shortly after 6:00 a.m. today, she observed a light skinned male, wearing a fluorescent jacket standing underneath a light pole near Lane Hill. As she approached the male reportedly exposed himself to her.
