Collisions - Around 9:30pm on Tuesday February 7th, police responded to a report of a collision on South Road in Paget. It appears that a truck was travelling along South Road near Coral Beach when it went over an embankment. The truck was damaged, however the driver, a 49 year old Devonshire man was not injured. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Around 9pm on Tuesday February 7th, police and first responders attended a reported collision at the junction of Spanish Point Road and Clarence Dale Drive in Pembroke. It appears that a car was travelling along Spanish Point Road when it collided with a utility pole and a wall. The car received extensive front end damage and the wall was also damaged. The driver, a 57 year old Pembroke man was conveyed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of minor injuries and later released. He was then arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. He was detained in police custody and later bailed. A court appearance is expected in due course.
