Court Appearance for Firearm Possession

At 2:20am on Saturday 21st January, 2012, uniform officers arrested an 18 year old male from Pembroke, in Sandys Parish.
The male, Dameko Dublin, was wanted by police in connection with the recovery of an illegal firearm in Devonshire Parish in November of last year. Mr. Dublin appeared in Hamilton Magistrates Court at 10:00am today, charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon (Firearm) and Possession of Ammunition.
The arrest relates to the recovery of a firearm and arrest of two men on 5th November 2011, on North Shore Road, Devonshire in possession of the firearm in question.
Officers from the Bermuda Police Serious Crime Unit have been investigating this matter, and Mr. Dublin marks the second person charged in relation to this firearm.
