Stolen Vehicle - On Thursday January 19th, police received a report of a vehicle taken without its owner’s consent. It appears that between 12 noon on Friday January 6th and 12 noon on Thursday January 19th a car was taken from outside a Southcote Road, Paget residence. The vehicle is described as a white Mitsubishi Lancer bearing license plate number 18193. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing. Anyone with information or who may know the whereabouts of this car should contact the main police number on 295-0011.
Assault
Around 11:50am on Wednesday January 18th, police responded to a report of an assault at a residence in the South Road, Paget area, near the junction with Cobbs Hill Road. A member of the public reportedly found the victim; a 17 year old Paget woman outside the home and contacted paramedics. The injured teenager was conveyed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment and at last check was in stable condition on a general ward. Inquiries are ongoing. Police are appealing for any witnesses, particularly anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident and may have seen two or three men travelling in a car to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.
