Robbery at Hitching Post in Somerset

Around 8:30am on Wednesday, December 28th police attended a reported robbery at the Hitching Post on Middle Road in Sandys parish. It appears that around 8:10am an unknown group of men gained entry into the premises, brandishing what appeared to be firearms. The culprits made good their escape with a quantity of cash. No one was injured.
The suspects are described as five men wearing dark coloured clothing and black full face helmets with dark coloured visors. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who may have been in the Middle Road, Wreck Road Sandys parish area around the time of the incident to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010, the Serious Crime Unit on 295-0011 or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.
