Update: Sudden Death - The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 18 year old Kevin Gonsalves Ledo of Pembroke. Around 11:45am on Saturday, December 24th police responded to a reported industrial accident at a Smiths Avenue, Warwick residence. It appears that Mr. Ledo was working as a landscaper on the property when he received an electrical shock. He was given CPR by EMTs at the scene before being taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance, where he was subsequently pronounced dead at 1:20pm Saturday by an on call physician. There does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances; however an autopsy is anticipated and inquiries are ongoing. The Bermuda Police Service extends condolences to the family & friends of Mr. Ledo.
Single Vehicle Police Collision
Around 1:45pm on Monday, December 26th police attended a reported single vehicle damage only road traffic collision on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Lighthouse Road. It appears that a marked police car was traveling along Middle Road when it collided with a sidewalk and a wall, causing the vehicle to overturn. The marked police car was extensively damaged; however the police officer driving the vehicle was not injured. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
