Collision - Around 11:30am on Wednesday, December 14th police were on mobile patrol in the Cobbs Hill Road, Warwick area when they encountered a white car traveling at speed along Ord Road. The officers activated the police vehicle’s emergency equipment; however the offending vehicle did not stop. Police pursued the white car on to Middle Road in Paget, where the driver of the fleeing vehicle collided with another car near Manse Road, before finally colliding with a wall near Tanglewood Road.

The occupants abandoned the extensively damaged vehicle and attempted to escape on foot. A subsequent search of the area resulted in the arrest of a 17 year old Paget man in connection with this incident. The driver of the other car involved in the initial collision was not injured and his vehicle received moderate damage. Traffic was diverted away from the scene as a result but that section of Middle Road, Paget was later re-opened. Collision – Appeal for Witnesses

Around 8:30am on Saturday December 10th, police responded to a collision between two motorcycles at the junction of Watlington Road East and Green Acres Road in Devonshire. It appears that both vehicles were travelling along Watlington Road East when they collided at the junction with Green Acres Road. One of the riders, a 34 year old Devonshire woman sustained injuries. She was treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and later released. It appears that the other motorcycle left the scene after the collision. The other rider is believed to be a black male wearing dark coloured clothing riding a black motorcycle. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact PC Odessa Philip on 295-0011.
