Impaired Driver - Around 3:15am on Sunday December 11th, uniformed officers were on duty along Front Street in the City of Hamilton when it appeared that a collision occurred between a rental cycle and a taxi. Afterwards, the rider of the rental cycle rode away in an erratic manner. As a result the rider, a 31 year old Devonshire man, was stopped by police and arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. He subsequently failed the alco-analyser test and was detained in police custody. A court appearance is anticipated in due course.

Weekend Police Activity

Over the weekend, police officers arrested 17 people for outstanding warrants. Officers also conducted liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the island.
