Serious Collision in Southampton - Around 1:45am on Saturday, police and first responders attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Camp Hill involving a taxi and a motorcycle. It appears that both vehicles were traveling along Middle Road when they collided. The rider of the motorcycle, a 21 year old St. George’s man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. At last check the victim was in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit. The taxi driver was not injured. Both vehicles were damaged as a result. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Collision in Paget
Around 8:55am on Friday, police and first responders attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on South Road in Paget in the vicinity of the Botanical Gardens involving two motorcycles. It appears that both vehicles were traveling along South Road in Paget when they collided. The riders of the motorcycles, a 30 year old Smith’s parish woman and a 32 year old Pembroke woman, were injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. Both victims were subsequently released. A female pillion passenger on one of the motorcycles was apparently not injured. Both vehicles were damaged as a result. Traffic was temporarily diverted away from the scene following the collision. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
