Single Vehicle Collision in Southampton - Around 2:40am on Sunday, police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Lighthouse Road. It appears that a car was traveling along Middle Road when it collided with a wall and overturned. The driver, a 24 year old Southampton man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The car was extensively damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Medical Emergency

Around 5:30pm on Friday, police and first responders attended a reported medical emergency on Middle Road in Devonshire near the junction with Vesey Street in the vicinity of Belvin’s Variety. It appears that a 2 year old girl had stopped breathing due to a pre-existing medical condition. Traffic was temporarily diverted away from the scene and the child was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance where doctors were able to re-start her breathing. At last check the infant was recovering on a general ward.

Single Vehicle Collision in Smith’s Parish

Around 5:30pm on Friday, police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Smith’s parish near the junction with Jennings Road. Initial reports suggested that the car overturned; however that apparently was not the case. Instead, it appears that the car was traveling along North Shore Road when it collided with a wall. The driver, a 31 year old Devonshire man, was not injured. The front seat passenger, a 46 year old Pembroke man, sustained minor injuries. The car received damage to several areas. Traffic was temporarily diverted away from the scene. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
