Confirmed Firearm Incident - Police responded to a confirmed firearm incident in the Old Military Road, St. George’s area around 12:20pm on Friday September 2nd. Officers attended the scene and recovered evidence that a firearm had been discharged. However, no injuries were reported. A 31 year old man was arrested in connection with this incident. Inquiries are ongoing and detectives are appealing for anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area or anyone with any information to contact St. George’s Criminal Investigation Unit on 293-2222 or the independent confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.

Utility Pole Fire

Around 2:15pm on Friday September 2nd, Police responded to a utility pole on fire in the area of Middle Road and Camp Hill in Southampton. Police initially diverted traffic away from the scene. Currently traffic is flowing normally through the area as BELCO continues to work at that location.
