Robbery - Around 8:45pm on Saturday, police responded to a reported robbery in the Hermitage Road, Devonshire area. It appears that the victims, a man in his 20s and a teenage girl, were sitting in a parked car in the area when they were attacked by a group of unknown men brandishing bladed articles. Afterward their assailants fled the scene with a quantity of jewelry and a cellular phone. The victims were treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital; the teenage girl’s injuries were examined and she was subsequently released while the male victim remains at the hospital receiving medical attention for a leg wound. Two men in their 20s were arrested at the hospital in connection with this incident after seeking treatment for hand injuries. They also remain at the hospital; their injuries and those of the male victim are considered to be serious but not life threatening. Inquiries are ongoing.
