Missing Person: Ayesha Lake - The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 31 year old Ayesha Lake. Ms. Lake is described as approximately 5’8” tall of slim build weighing 130 pounds. She was last seen in the Parsons Road and Friswells Hill areas of Pembroke. Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Ayesha Lake is encouraged to contact the main police number on 295-0011.

Assault

Around 8:20am on Monday, August 22nd, police received a report of an assault at the Westgate Correctional Facility. It appears that one male inmate attacked another. As a result the 51 year old victim was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment. At last check he was in stable condition on a general ward. Detectives from the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit are continuing their inquiries into this matter.

Burglary Advisory

The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the public to remain vigilant regarding burglaries by making sure windows and doors are locked before leaving their homes unattended, even for short periods of time.

In addition, we recommend that all residents safely store their valuables out of sight, record serial numbers of all items and take pictures of their possessions in particular electronic equipment and items of jewelry - so that if they are stolen and later recovered, there is an accurate way of identifying them.

Residents are also encouraged to report any suspicious vehicles, activities or individuals in their neighbourhoods to police on 295-0011. The public is reminded that receiving stolen property is an offence punishable under the law.
