Missing Juvenile Santina Harvey Found - The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 17 year old Santina Harvey. Ms. Harvey returned home Monday evening safe and well.
Burglary
Around 2:50am on Tuesday, Police responded to a report of a burglary at a Patience Avenue, Sandys parish residence. It appears that around 2:40am that day an unknown intruder gained entry into the home and was confronted by the male occupant. A struggle ensued; however the suspect managed to make good his escape with a laptop computer, cellular phone and jewelry. The male occupant received relatively minor injuries and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. He was later discharged. Officers conducted a search of the vicinity, but the suspect was not located. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Two Arrested Following Washington Street Assault
Two young men, aged 16 and 15 years old respectively, have been arrested in connection with the assault of an 18 year old Pembroke man in the Washington Street, Pembroke area sometime between 2am and 2:30am Saturday, July 16th. Inquiries are ongoing and police are continuing to appeal for any witnesses, particularly anyone who may have been in the Washington Street area or in the vicinity of Mount Saint Agnes Academy around the time of the incident and saw any suspicious individuals or activity. Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.
Road Safety Advisory
The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the motoring public to slow down and to drive as well as ride responsibly on the island’s roads. Additionally, we urge those traveling in cars to use their seatbelts at all times and make sure any children traveling in the vehicle are appropriately restrained. Those traveling on motorcycles should always fasten their helmets and avoid making a third lane.
