Sudden Death - Around 11:10am on Wednesday, police and first responders attended a reported medical emergency at a Valley Lane, Sandys parish residence. A 33 year old Sandys parish man was found in an unresponsive state inside the home. Despite CPR at the scene and being rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance, he was subsequently pronounced dead. No further information will be given until the next of kin has been notified. Foul play is not suspected and an autopsy is anticipated in due course.

Disturbance/Assault

Around 7pm on Tuesday, police attended a reported disturbance/assault on East Park Lane in Pembroke. It appears that around 6:45pm that day two men were involved in an altercation in the area. The suspect brandished a bladed article and as a result the victim, a 24 year old man, was injured. The suspect and the victim are apparently known to each other. Officers conducted a search of the vicinity for the suspect, however he was not located. The victim attended King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment of a hand injury. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
