Road Safety Advisory - The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the motoring public to slow down and to drive as well as ride responsibly on the island’s roads. Additionally, we urge those traveling in cars to use their seatbelts at all times and make sure any children traveling in the vehicle are appropriately restrained. Those traveling on motorcycles should always fasten their helmets and avoid making a third lane.

Burglary Advisory

There were four reported burglaries on Monday. Overall a quantity of electronic items (mostly flat screen TVs) and jewellery was taken.

We continue to advise the public to remain vigilant regarding burglaries by making sure windows and doors are locked before leaving their homes unattended, even for short periods of time. In addition we are encouraging all residents to safely store their valuables out of sight, record serial numbers of all items especially electronic equipment and to take pictures of their possessions so that if they are stolen and later recovered, there is an accurate way of identifying them.

Residents are also reminded to report any suspicious vehicles, activities or individuals in their neighbourhoods to Police on 295-0011 and that receiving stolen property is an offence punishable under the law.
