Injury RTC in Sandys Parish - Around 6pm on Thursday, police attended a reported two vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Somerset Road in Sandys parish near the Arnold’s Supermarket. It appears that two cars were traveling along Somerset Road, driven by a 31 year old Sandys parish woman and an 18 year old Pembroke man respectively, when they collided. Including the drivers, there were two adults and three children in one vehicle and two adults in the other vehicle. All seven individuals were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for medical assessment and treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Both cars were extensively damaged as a result. Traffic was diverted away from the scene for approximately an hour and a half. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Around 2:30pm on Thursday, police attended a reported two vehicle collision at the junction of Middle Road and Bostock Hill East in Paget. It appears that two cars were traveling along Middle Road when they collided at the junction. The drivers of the cars, a 64 year old Paget woman and a 73 year old Smith’s parish man, were not injured; however both vehicles were extensively damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
