Robbery - Around 2:55am on Wednesday, Police received a report of a robbery. It appears that earlier that morning the victim, a 21 year old Warwick man, was driving a car along Woodlands Road in Pembroke when he was accosted by an unknown man on an orange motorcycle. The motorcyclist brandished a bladed article before making good his escape with the Warwick man’s wallet containing personal items. The victim was not injured. The suspect is believed to be a dark brown skinned male, approximately 5’10” tall wearing a white helmet, black shirt and black pants. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing and anyone with any information is encouraged to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.

Injury RTC

Around 6:10pm on Wednesday, Police responded to a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Par-La-Ville Road and Serpentine Road in Pembroke involving a SUV and a motorcycle. It appears that both vehicles collided as they attempted to negotiate the round-a-bout at the junction. The motorcycle rider, a 53 year old Devonshire man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment; however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The driver of the SUV, a 39 year old Pembroke man, was not injured. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Theft/Willful Damage

Around 6:55pm on Wednesday, Police responded to a reported theft/willful damage involving a vehicle parked at Spittal Pond in Smith’s parish. It appears that sometime between 6:20pm and 6:40pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into the car and stole a red bag containing a quantity of cash, a BlackBerry cellular phone and personal items. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
