Attempted Theft - Around 8:45pm on Monday, Police responded to a report of an attempted theft from an unattended vehicle parked on North Street in Pembroke. On arrival officers observed the suspect, a 49 year old man, attempting to gain entry into a parked car and arrested him for the offence. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing and a court appearance is anticipated.

Affray

Around 11:50am on Monday, Police responded to a report of two men fighting each other at the junction of Church Street and Burnaby Street in the City of Hamilton. On arrival officers observed a 19 year old Devonshire man and a 19 year old Warwick man involved in a physical altercation and arrested them for the offence. Both men were subsequently bailed and a court appearance is anticipated.

Road Safety Advisory

The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the motoring public to slow down and to drive as well as ride responsibly on the island’s roads. Additionally, we urge those traveling in cars to use their seatbelts at all times and make sure any children traveling in the vehicle are appropriately restrained. Those traveling on motorcycles should always fasten their helmets and avoid making a third lane.

Burglary Advisory

The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the public to remain vigilant regarding burglaries by making sure windows and doors are locked before leaving their homes unattended, even for short periods of time. Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious vehicles, activities or individuals in their neighbourhoods to Police on 295-0011.
