Damage Only RTC on Harbour Road - At 10:10am on Tuesday, Police attended a reported single vehicle damage only road traffic collision on Harbour Road in Warwick near the junction with Tamarind Vale. It appears that a jeep was traveling along Harbour Road when it overturned and collided with a wall. The vehicle and a section of the wall were extensively damaged; however the driver, a 53 year old Sandys parish woman, was not injured.
Recovered Jewelry
Recently a quantity of jewelry was recovered after police officers executed a search warrant at a Pembroke residence. The various items confiscated included watches (pictured right), earrings, bracelets, necklaces and rings. Anyone who may have had their jewelry lost or stolen recently is encouraged to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011 to arrange a viewing.
Road Safety Advisory
The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the motoring public to slow down and to drive as well as ride responsibly on the island’s roads. Additionally, we urge those traveling in cars to use their seatbelts at all times and make sure any children traveling in the vehicle are appropriately restrained. Those traveling on motorcycles should always fasten their helmets and avoid making a third lane.
Burglary Advisory
Over the weekend and on Monday, May 2nd there were several reported burglaries at various locations throughout the island. Mainly electronic items were taken. Police have also received reports of theft and or willful damage involving a few vehicles. The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the public to remain vigilant regarding burglaries and other crimes of opportunity by making sure windows and doors are locked before leaving their homes or vehicles unattended, even for short periods of time. Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious vehicles, activities or individuals in their neighbourhoods to Police on 295-0011.
