Damage Only RTC in Sandys Parish - Around 12:40pm on Friday, Police responded to a reported single vehicle damage only road traffic collision on Somerset Road in Sandys parish near the junction with Morgan Hill (Scaur Hill area). Details about the collision are unclear at this time; however it appears that a car was traveling along Somerset Road when it collided with an embankment, causing it to overturn. The driver and sole occupant, a 78 year old man, was extricated from the vehicle by emergency personnel and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for assessment. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
