Fraud Advisory

Once again the Bermuda Police Service would like to remind members of the public to remain vigilant regarding scams. It has come to our attention that an unknown individual has attended at least one home claiming to be collecting donations for Autism Awareness Month.

April is Autism Awareness Month; however none of the established local autism charities are soliciting donations at this time. We would advise the public that if you are approached by someone alleging to be collecting money for any charity that you contact that charity directly to confirm whether or not they are fundraising before handing over any cash.
