Around 8:25pm on Thursday, March 31st 2011 police responded to a report of a confirmed firearm incident that took place on Border Lane in Devonshire. On police arrival it was ascertained that a 22 year old Devonshire man was shot and subsequently succumbed to his injuries. No further information will be given until the next of kin has been notified. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who may have seen any person acting suspiciously in the Friswells Road, Border Lane or Roberts Avenue Devonshire area to contact the Serious Crime Unit on 295-0011 or the independent, confidential Crime Stoppers Bermuda hotline on 800-8477.
