Update: Serious Injury RTC - Around 2:15am on Monday, Police attended a reported serious single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Cavendish Road and Lane Hill in Pembroke. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling along Lane Hill when the rider, a 33 year old Pembroke man, collided with the sidewalk at the junction. The Pembroke man sustained serious head and facial injuries and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. His injuries while serious are not believed to be life threatening at this time. The motorcycle was extensively damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information about this collision to contact PC Minyell Long on 295-0011.
Weekend Police Activity
Over the weekend there were 5 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. Police officers also arrested 20 people for outstanding warrants and conducted 18 liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the island.
