Witness Appeal: Confirmed Firearm Incidents - Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the recent confirmed firearm incidents in Pembroke:

  • The first took place at the junction of Cedar Avenue & Laffan Street around 10:20pm on Friday, March 25th
  • The second took place on Rambling Lane around 11:50pm on Friday, March 25th
  • The third took place in the area of Rambling Lane around 1:30pm on Saturday, March 26th

It can be confirmed that one 16 year old male received gun shot wounds following the second of the three incidents. He is recovering in the Intensive Care Unit at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where his condition is described as stable. There are no injuries reported as a result of the other two incidents.

Forensic evidence has been collected from the respective scenes and investigators are continuing to conduct inquiries into the three firearm incidents. It is too early to say whether these incidents are linked; however the possibility has not been ruled out.

High visibility patrols continue in and around the related areas as well as at various locations throughout the island.
