Serious Assault Suspect Arrested - Around 6am today (Monday, March 21st 2011) a 26 year old Sandys parish man suspected of seriously assaulting a 57 year old Sandys parish man was arrested by Police after being located at a Sandys parish residence. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
A check of the victim’s condition also around 6am today confirmed that he is in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing by the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit and anyone with any information that may assist is encouraged to contact detectives on 234-1010.
Weekend Police Activity
Over the weekend there were 7 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. Police officers also arrested 34 people for outstanding warrants and conducted 24 liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the island.
