Update: Injury RTC in Devonshire - Around 3:55pm on Wednesday, Police responded to a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of North Shore Road and Loyal Hill Road in Devonshire. It appears that two auxiliary cycles and a car collided in the area. As a result the two auxiliary cycle riders, a 17 year old young man from Hamilton parish and a 16 year old young man from Hamilton parish, were injured. They were both taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The 17 year old sustained a head injury and is currently in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit while the 16 year old sustained injuries to his arms & legs which are not considered serious. The driver of the car, a 44 year old Devonshire woman, was not injured. All three vehicles were damaged. Traffic was temporarily diverted away from the scene while officers assessed the incident. Inquiries are ongoing. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to contact PC Anthony Smith on 295-0011.
