Update Fatal RTC: Victim Identified - The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 18 year old Vershon Simmons of Pembroke. Around 9:30pm Saturday, March 5th 2011 Mr. Simmons was riding a motorcycle which was involved in a collision with a car on Harbour Road in Paget near the junction with Cobbs Hill Road. He was seriously injured and rushed to hospital via ambulance; however he later succumbed to his injuries. The Bermuda Police Service extends condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Simmons.
The investigation into this fatal collision is ongoing and any witnesses or anyone with any information is encouraged to contact PC Steven Darrell of the Roads Policing Unit on 295-0011.
The death of Vershon Simmons marks the 1st road fatality for 2011.
