Burglary - Around 6:20am on Monday, Police received a report of a burglary at the East Broadway Shell Service Station in Pembroke. It appears that sometime between 10pm on Sunday and 6am on Monday, an unknown culprit gained entry into the premises. The culprit stole a quantity of cigarettes. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Around 8:40pm on Sunday, Police received a report of a burglary at Miles Market in Pembroke. It appears that around 8:30pm that day an unknown culprit gained entry into the premises and stole a quantity of bottled alcoholic beverages. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Around 3pm on Sunday, Police received a report of a burglary at an Anchorage View Lane, St. George’s residence. It appears that sometime between 10:30am and 11:45am that day an unknown culprit removed three dogs from the home. The dogs are described as a golden coloured six year old female Pitbull and two Pitbull puppies, one black and the other brown in colour. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for anyone with any information on the whereabouts of the three missing dogs to contact the Southside Police Station on 293-2222.
Around 6:55am on Sunday, Police received a report of a burglary at Saltus Grammar School in Pembroke. It appears that sometime earlier in the weekend an unknown culprit gained entry into the senior school and stole a quantity of cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Weekend Activity
Over the weekend there were 6 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 4 reported burglaries. There were also 11 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 8 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 3 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent.
A total of 53 arrests were made this weekend; 12 for drug offences and the rest for various offences including outstanding warrants. With Christmas fast approaching, the Bermuda Police Service remains vigilant and will be out on the island’s roads, paying particular attention to impaired driving offences.
