Injury RTC - Around 9:30pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Twin Lane Drive in Pembroke. It appears that a car was traveling along Twin Lane Drive when the driver, a 64 year old Pembroke man, lost control and collided with a wall. The Pembroke man was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment and later released. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. The car received extensive front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Around 4:15pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of South Road and Collectors Hill in Smith’s parish involving a truck and an auxiliary cycle. It appears that the truck and the auxiliary cycle were both traveling along South Road when the vehicles collided. The rider of the auxiliary cycle, a 16 year old young man from Warwick, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The driver of the truck, a 44 year old Pembroke man, was not injured. Both vehicles were damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Burglary
Around 9:45am on Tuesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Khyber Heights Road, Warwick residence. It appears that sometime between Sunday, October 24th and Saturday, November 6th an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while the occupant was overseas. The culprit stole a quantity of cash and jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

All residents should make sure windows and doors are locked before leaving their homes unattended, even for short periods of time.
