Robbery - Around 12:15am on Monday, Police received a report of a robbery. It appears that around 12am that day the victim, a 46 year old Pembroke man, was walking along Woodlands Road in Pembroke when he was accosted by two unknown men in a silver car. The suspects took a quantity of cash before making good their escape. The Pembroke man was not injured. The suspects are described as two black men dressed in black clothing; one wearing an earring. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.
Injury RTC
Around 6:55am on Sunday, Police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Studio Lane. It appears that a car was traveling along North Shore Road when the driver, a 19 year old St. George’s man, lost control. As a result the vehicle collided with an embankment. The driver and his passenger, a 22 year old St. George’s woman, were injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment; however their injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The car received front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Weekend Activity
Over the weekend there were 6 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 4 reported burglaries. There were also 7 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 4 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 5 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent.
