The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the motoring public to slow down and to drive as well as ride responsibly on the island’s roads. Additionally, we urge those traveling in cars to use their seatbelts at all times and make sure any children traveling in the vehicle are appropriately restrained. Those traveling on motorcycles should always fasten their helmets and avoid making a third lane.

Most of the vehicles removed were either auxiliary cycles or motorcycles, with 1 car also reported stolen during the period. Of the 27 vehicles reported stolen, 6 were subsequently recovered, including the car.
Injury RTC
Around 1:30pm on Monday, Police and first responders attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury near the junction of North Shore Road and Blackwatch Pass in Pembroke involving a bus and a rental cycle. It appears that the vehicles collided in the area; as a result the rider of the rental cycle, a 61 year old American woman, was injured. The visitor’s injuries are not life threatening. The driver of the bus, a 29 year old Southampton man, was not injured. The rental cycle was extensively damaged while the bus received moderate damage.
Around 2:50pm on Monday, Police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Burnt House Hill in Warwick. It appears that a rental cycle was traveling along Burnt House Hill when the rider, a 60 year old American woman, lost control. The visitor was injured; however her injuries are not life threatening. The rental cycle received minor front end damage.
