Injury RTC - Around 5:10pm on Sunday, Police and first responders attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on South Road in Paget near the south round-a-bout involving a motorcycle and a truck. It appears that the vehicles were traveling along South Road when they collided. The rider of the motorcycle, a 36 year old Devonshire man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The driver of the truck, a 37 year old Pembroke man, was not injured. The motorcycle was extensively damaged while the truck apparently was not damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to contact PC Rajiv Bailey on 295-0011.

Around 3:40pm on Sunday, Police and first responders attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of North Shore Road and Blackwatch Pass in Pembroke involving a car and a van. It appears that the van was traveling along Blackwatch Pass and the car was traveling along North Shore Road when the vehicles collided. The driver of the car, a 59 year old Sandys parish man, was injured. The driver of the van, a 66 year old Warwick man, was apparently uninjured; however his passenger, a 59 year old Sandys parish woman was injured. The injured parties were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of their injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening. Both vehicles were extensively damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to contact PC Seymour Foote on 295-0011.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 7 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 4 reported burglaries. There were also 7 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 10 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 17 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent.
