Witness Appeal: Fatal RTC - The investigation into the fatal road traffic collision that claimed the life of 22 year old Adam Goodwin is ongoing. Police are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to the incident that occurred around 4:10am on Sunday, October 3rd on South Road in Smith’s parish near the junction with St. Mark’s Road. In particular, investigators are interested in speaking with anyone who may have witnessed the collision or anyone who may know of Mr. Goodwin’s whereabouts prior to the collision. Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact PC David Ward on 295-0011.

Robbery

Around 1:30am on Friday, Police received a report of a robbery. It appears that around 12:30am the victim, a 29 year old Warwick man, was walking in the Ord Road, Warwick area near the Ord Road Laundry when he was accosted by two unknown men. The assailants used a helmet to assault the victim and removed his wallet containing personal items before making good their escape. The Warwick man was injured and treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital; however his injury is not serious. The suspects are described as two black men; one of the men was 5’1” tall while the other was 5’5” tall wearing a red & black shirt with black pants. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010.

Update – Injury RTC

Around 3:45pm on Thursday, Police responded to a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Devonshire near Barkers Hill involving a car and a motorcycle. It appears that the car and motorcycle were traveling along North Shore Road when they collided. The car also collided with a wall. As a result the car driver, a 28 year old Devonshire man and the motorcycle rider, a 33 year old Warwick man, were injured. Both men were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The motorcycle was extensively damaged while the car received moderate damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Advisory - Burglaries

The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the public to remain vigilant regarding burglaries as there were four reported in the western parishes yesterday; three in Sandys parish and one in Southampton. All residents should make sure windows and doors are locked before leaving their homes unattended, even for short periods of time. The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activities or individuals in their neighbourhoods to Police on 295-0011.
