Damage Only RTC/Impaired Driving - Around 5:15am on Saturday, Police attended a reported single vehicle damage only road traffic collision on Pitts Bay Road in Pembroke near the junction with Turnstile Lane. It appears that a car was traveling along Pitts Bay Road when it collided with a wall. The driver, a 30 year old Pembroke man, was not injured; however he was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. The car received extensive front end damage and the wall was also damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Damage Only RTC

Around 6:35pm on Friday, Police received a report of a damage only road traffic collision on Middle Road in Warwick near the junction with Keith Hall Road. It appears that a car and a motorcycle collided on Middle Road; however the motorcyclist left the scene. The driver of the car, a 27 year old Paget woman, was not injured; however the car received extensive front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to contact PC Odessa Philip on 295-0011.

Burglary

Around 6:10am on Saturday, Police received a report of a burglary at the Collectors Hill Esso Service Station in Devonshire. It appears that sometime between 11pm on Friday and 5:50am on Saturday, an unknown culprit gained entry into the premises and stole a quantity of cigarettes. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 6:30pm on Friday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Middle Road, Southampton residence. It appears that sometime between 3:30pm and 5:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a Sony 46” flat screen TV. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Advisory

The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the public to remain vigilant regarding burglaries. All residents should make sure windows and doors are locked before leaving their homes unattended, even for short periods of time. The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activities or individuals in their neighbourhoods to Police on 295-0011.
