The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the motoring public to slow down and to drive as well as ride responsibly on the island’s roads. Additionally, we urge those traveling in cars to use their seatbelts at all times and make sure any children traveling in the vehicle are appropriately restrained. Those traveling on motorcycles should always fasten their helmets and avoid making a third lane.

All of the vehicles removed were either auxiliary cycles or motorcycles. Of the 22 vehicles reported stolen, 3 were subsequently recovered.
Burglary
Around 2:15pm on Monday, Police received a report of a burglary at a West Avenue, Southampton residence. It appears that sometime between 10:45am and 2:15pm that day an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole personal items including an item of jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Update - Injury RTC
At 4:55pm on Monday, Police received a report of a road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Middle Road and Montpelier Road in Devonshire involving a bus and a rental cycle. The rider of the rental cycle, a 72 year old man and his passenger, a 66 year old woman, remain in King Edward VII Memorial Hospital receiving treatment for their injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening. They are apparently visitors to the island. The bus driver and her passengers were not injured. The rental cycle was extensively damaged while the bus received extensive front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Witness Appeal - Burglary at Tools & Equipment
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to a burglary that occurred around 12:45am on Saturday, September 11th at Tools & Equipment on North Street in Pembroke. Inquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information is encouraged to contact Detective Constable Eddie Shillingford at the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.
