Injury RTC - Around 3:15pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Smith’s parish near the junction with Store Hill involving a car and a motorcycle. It appears that both vehicles were traveling east on North Shore Road, with the car in front of the motorcycle. As the car attempted to turn on to Store Hill the collision occurred. The rider of the motorcycle, a 20 year old Devonshire man, sustained abrasions to his left hand and pain to his ribs. He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The driver of the car, a 49 year old Devonshire woman, was not injured. The motorcycle was extensively damaged while the car received damage to its right side. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 2 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 6 reported burglaries. There were also 6 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 3 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 12 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent.
