Burglary - Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering that took place on Harrington Sound Road in Smith's parish. It appears that the complainant left her home secured a few minutes before 8am yesterday morning only to return a few minutes after 5pm to notice that someone gained entry into her home and made off with an undisclosed amount of jewelry.

Police are reminding the public to secure their homes before retiring for the evening and before leaving for the day. Also, residents should ensure that no money is left lying about and that all valuables are locked in a safe or safety deposit box. Take away the opportunity and lessen your chances of becoming a victim.
