Burglary - At 3:30pm on Saturday, police responded to a report of a breaking and entering that took place on Blue Hole Hill in Hamilton Parish. Upon police arrival it was ascertained that the complainant left her home at 10am only to return at 2pm to discover that someone had gained entry into her dwelling and removed a dog; however nothing else appeared to be missing.
Meanwhile, on Saturday around 1pm police attended a residence on Poinciana Road in Devonshire. Officers spoke with the complainant who stated that someone gained unlawful entry into his dwelling and stole two televisions. Inquiries into both incidents are underway.
Arrest on Suspicion of Impaired Driving
At 9pm Saturday evening, police were stationary at the junction of Front Street and Burnaby Street when they noticed a man on a motorcycle traveling in a westerly direction fail to stop at the stop light. Police followed the suspect and eventually stopped him on Cedar Avenue in Pembroke. It was at that time officers observed the man having trouble putting the cycle on the stand. He appeared to be unsteady on his feet and his eyes were red and glazed over. The man was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst impaired and taken to Hamilton Police Station.
