Vehicle Fire - Around 5:45am on Friday, Police attended a reported vehicle fire on Foothills Road in Devonshire. The Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service also attended the scene where a motorcycle was ablaze outside a residence. The fire was subsequently extinguished by Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service personnel. No one was injured; however the motorcycle was extensively damaged. An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
Burglary
Around 5:45pm on Thursday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Nu-Castle Lane, Smith’s parish residence. It appears that sometime between 2:30pm and 4:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of cash and jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Around 9:30am on Thursday, Police received a report of a burglary at North Rock Brewing Co. on South Road in Smith’s parish. It appears that sometime overnight an unknown culprit gained entry into the premises and removed several bottles of liquor. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the public to remain vigilant regarding burglaries. All residents should make sure windows and doors are locked before leaving their homes unattended, even for short periods of time. The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activities or individuals in their neighbourhoods to Police on 295-0011.
