The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the motoring public to slow down and to drive as well as ride responsibly on the island’s roads. Additionally, we urge those traveling in cars to use their seatbelts at all times and make sure any children traveling in the vehicle are appropriately restrained. Those traveling on motorcycles should always fasten their helmets and avoid making a third lane.

Most of the vehicles removed were either auxiliary cycles or motorcycles, with 1 car, 1 motocross cycle and 3 pedal cycles also reported stolen during the period. Of the 19 vehicles reported stolen, 4 were subsequently recovered, including the car.
Disturbance
Around 8:30pm on Monday, Police responded to a reported disturbance at a Mount Road, St. George’s residence. It appears that the victim, a 25 year old St. George’s man, was involved in an argument with another man who assaulted him with a bladed article. As a result the victim sustained a laceration to his arm. The suspect is apparently known to the victim. The 25 year old St. George’s man was taken to the Lamb Foggo Urgent Care Centre for treatment before being taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Burglary
Around 11:10pm on Monday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Battery Road, St. George’s residence. It appears that sometime between 8am and 11pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a black 32” Samsung flat screen TV. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Around 1:30pm on Monday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Rubber Tree Lane, Warwick residence. It appears that sometime between 10:30am and 1:15pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of cash and jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
