Confirmed Firearm Incident in Pembroke - Around 3:35am today, Police responded to a confirmed firearm incident in the area of Court Street and Elliot Street in Pembroke. Details about what occurred are unclear at the moment; however there were no reported injuries. An active investigation into this incident is underway. Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area or anyone with any information to call the Serious Crime Unit on 299-8121 or the confidential Crime Stoppers Bermuda hotline on 800-8477.
Witness Appeal – Armed Robbery
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to a home invasion that occurred around 11pm Sunday at a residence on Upland Street in Devonshire. It appears that armed men gained entry into the residence and robbed the occupants. One of the occupants was injured as a result of being assaulted; however the injury is not believed to be life threatening. A full investigation into this matter is ongoing. Anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area or anyone with any information in relation to this incident is asked to call the Serious Crime Unit on 299-8121 or the confidential Crime Stoppers Bermuda hotline on 800-8477.
Weekend Activity
Over the weekend there were 3 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 5 reported burglaries. There were also 6 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 8 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 6 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent.
