Serious Injury RTC - Around 2:55am today, Police attended a reported serious single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on South Road in Paget near the junction with Point Finger Road. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling along South Road when the male rider lost control and collided with a wall. As a result he sustained a serious injury to his right leg and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. At last check he was in stable condition. Traffic was diverted away from the scene for approximately two hours. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 295-0011.
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the serious single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury that occurred around 3:30am Saturday on Crow Lane (East Broadway) in Paget near the junction with Corkscrew Hill. At last check the victim, a 28 year old Pembroke woman, remains in the Intensive Care Unit at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital in critical condition. It appears that she was riding a motorcycle traveling east on Crow Lane when she lost control. As a result she collided with a curb, embankment and pole. She sustained serious head and internal injuries. The motorcycle was extensively damaged. Anyone with any information about this collision is asked to contact PC Carol Skerritt on 295-0011.
Injury RTC
Around 11:30am on Saturday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Middle Road and Tee Street in Devonshire involving a bus and a car. It appears that the bus was traveling west on Middle Road and the car was traveling north on Tee Street when the vehicles collided at the junction. The driver of the car, an 80 year old Southampton woman, was treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for lower back pain. Her injury is not considered serious (muscle strain). The driver of the bus, a 52 year old Devonshire man, was not injured. His passengers were also uninjured. The car was extensively damaged while the bus received front end damage.
