Robbery - Around 9:10pm on Wednesday, Police received a report of a robbery on Trinity Church Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with North Shore Road. It appears that the complainant, a 48 year old Hamilton parish woman, was riding her motorcycle along Trinity Church Road when she stopped to assist a young female motorcyclist who appeared to be in distress. As the Hamilton parish woman did the so, the young female motorcyclist held the complainant’s motorcycle handlebars while an unknown man appeared from the nearby bushes and took the complainant’s small suitcase. The complainant was allowed to leave the scene afterwards. She was not injured. The small suitcase contained a quantity of jewelry and personal items. The first suspect is described as a black female wearing a plaid skirt, a dark or maroon coloured hooded sweat top and white socks; she is believed to be in her mid to late teens and was riding an old grey or black scooter type motorcycle. The second suspect is described as a black male wearing a camouflage puffy jacket and a black helmet with a dark coloured visor. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the St. George’s Criminal Investigation Unit on 293-2222.
Injury RTC
At 11:50pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Doctors Lane involving a motorcycle and a car. It appears that the vehicles were traveling in opposite directions on North Shore Road when they collided. The rider of the motorcycle, a 43 year old St. George’s man, sustained a broken right leg as well as abrasions to his arms. He was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. The driver of the car, a 46 year old Paget man, was not injured. The motorcycle was extensively damaged while the car received front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
