Fatal RTC - The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 26 year old Carlton Darrell of Pembroke. The Bermuda Police Service extends condolences to Mr. Darrell’s family & friends.

Mr. Darrell was riding a motorcycle on Middle Road in Devonshire near the junction with Belvedere Road around 10:35pm Friday when he lost control and collided with a wall. Mr. Darrell sustained serious head, neck and chest injuries and was rushed to KEMH via ambulance; however he subsequently succumbed to his injuries.

Police are continuing to appeal for any witnesses or anyone with any information about this collision to contact PC Richard Geraghty on 295-0011.

The death of Carlton Darrell marks the 3rd road fatality for 2010.

Injury RTC

Around 9:25pm on Friday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on St. David’s Road in St. George’s near the junction with Emily’s Bay Lane. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling west on St. David’s Road when the rider, a 29 year old St. George’s man, lost control. The St. George’s man sustained facial injuries and was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. The motorcycle was extensively damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to contact PC Trecia Rose on 295-0011.
