Injury RTC - At 9am on Saturday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Middle Road and Vesey Street in Devonshire involving a car an auxiliary cycle. It appears that the auxiliary cycle was traveling east on Middle Road and the car was exiting Vesey Street when the vehicles collided. The rider of the auxiliary cycle, a 16 year old young woman from Pembroke was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment of pain as well as bruising to her shoulders and ribs. The driver of the car, a 28 year old Sandys parish man, was not injured. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 10:15pm on Friday, Police attended a reported serious road traffic collision on Middle Road in Devonshire near Somersfield Academy involving a car and a motorcycle. It appears that the motorcycle was traveling east on Middle Road and the car was traveling in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided. The rider of the motorcycle, a 17 year old young man from Pembroke and his passenger a 17 year old young woman from St. George’s, were taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment of facial injuries and an injury to the right leg respectively. They were both later released. The driver of the car was not injured. The car received front end damage while the motorcycle received damage to multiple areas. Traffic was diverted away from the scene for approximately two hours. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 9:20pm on Friday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Middle Road in Devonshire near the junction with Christ Church Lane. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling east on Middle Road when the rider, a 44 year old Smith’s parish man, lost control and collided with a wall, ending up off the road. The Smith’s parish man sustained facial injuries as well as injuries to his hands and arms. The motorcycle received moderate front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 6:30pm on Friday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury in the area of Coot Pond Road and Naval Tanks Hill in St. George’s involving a car and an auxiliary cycle. It appears that the car was traveling east on Coot Pond Road and the auxiliary cycle was traveling in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided. The rider of the auxiliary cycle, a 16 year old young man from St. George’s was injured and taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. The driver of the car, a 25 year old St. George’s woman, was not injured. The car received moderate front end damage and the auxiliary cycle received damage to multiple areas. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
