The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the motoring public to slow down and to drive as well as ride responsibly on the island’s roads. Additionally, we urge those traveling in cars to use their seatbelts at all times and make sure any children traveling in the vehicle are appropriately restrained. Those traveling on motorcycles should always fasten their helmets and avoid making a third lane.

During the week of Monday, February 1st – Monday, February 8th 2010 there were:

  • Reported Injury Collisions = 11
  • Reported Damage Only Collisions = 39
  • Arrests on Suspicion of Impaired Driving = 5
  • Vehicles Reported Taken Without Their Owners’ Consent = 16
  • Number of vehicles reported stolen by parish: St. George’s = 3, Devonshire = 1, Pembroke = 7, Paget = 2 and Warwick = 3.

Most of the vehicles removed were either auxiliary cycles or motorcycles, with 1 car & 1 van also reported stolen during the period. Of the 16 vehicles reported stolen, 2 were subsequently recovered, including the car.

Missing Juvenile - Troylene Anderson

The Bermuda Police Service continues to appeal for the public’s assistance in locating 17 year old Troylene Anderson. The teenager was last seen on Tuesday, January 26th 2010. She is described as 5’5” tall weighing approximately 186 pounds with short curly reddish brown hair and is known to frequent the St. Monica’s Road, Pembroke area. Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of 17 year old Troylene Anderson is encouraged to contact the Vulnerable Persons Unit on 295-0011.

Vehicle Taken Without Owner's Consent

Around 4:15pm on Thursday, February 4th Police received a report of a vehicle taken without its owner’s consent. The complainant stated that sometime between 10am on Thursday, January 28th and 3:30pm on Thursday, February 4th an unknown culprit stole the red Peugeot van license #L 2546 from where it was parked on Robin Hood Drive in Pembroke. Inquiries are underway. Police are appealing for anyone with any information on the whereabouts of a red Peugeot van license #L 2546 to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 295-0011.
